Insulation and Cooling Methods: They can be divided into oil-immersed and dry-type prefabricated transformers. Oil-immersed transformers rely on transformer oil for insulation and heat dissipation, offering large capacity and stable operation, suitable for outdoor power distribution. Dry-type prefabricated transformers use solid insulation materials such as epoxy resin, providing fire and moisture resistance, making them more suitable for indoor environments or environments with high safety requirements, such as subways, hospitals, and high-rise buildings.
Functional Characteristics: They can also be categorized into ordinary distribution prefabricated transformers, prefabricated intelligent prefabricated transformers, explosion-proof prefabricated transformers, corrosion-resistant prefabricated transformers, and mobile prefabricated transformers. Standard type is used in conventional power supply locations; intelligent prefabricated substations integrate remote monitoring and automation systems; explosion-proof and corrosion-resistant types are suitable for special environments such as mining areas, chemical zones, or coastal areas; mobile prefabricated substations are used for construction sites or temporary power supply needs.
