A cast coil dry type power transformer (also called cast resin dry transformer) is an oil-free power distribution device that uses vacuum-cast epoxy resin to fully encapsulate its high-voltage and low-voltage windings, relying solely on air for cooling instead of insulating oil.
During production, wound coils are sealed in molds under vacuum to eliminate air voids, forming a solid, rigid insulation block. Based on electromagnetic induction, it converts voltage and transfers power without flammable liquid, unlike oil-immersed transformers.
The cast coil dry type power transformer serves as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional oil-immersed distribution transformers.
