This is a 800kVA dry type power transformer. It is a three-phase transformer with F-class insulation (155℃), designed for indoor power distribution scenarios that require high safety, energy saving and reliability.The rated power of the step down dry type transformer is 800kVA with AN/AF cooling, the primary voltage is 10kV with ±2*2.5% tapping range (NLTC), the secondary voltage is 0.4kV , they formed a vector group of Dyn11.

Dry type power transformer use cast resin as the insulating medium, which provides excellent insulation and environmental protection. Combined with internal foil winding design, this construction greatly enhances dielectric strength and short-circuit resistance, guaranteeing dependable long-term operation for general distribution and special-use scenarios. Dry type power transformers support copper or aluminum windings with Class F or Class H insulation options; various enclosure grades are available to suit indoor and outdoor installation requirements. A: Dry type power transformers tolerate moderate overloads better than oil-filled units because the epoxy has higher thermal inertia - it takes longer to heat up and cool down. Under natural air cooling (AN), you can typically run 120% of rated load for two hours without damage. With forced air (AF), continuous overload capacity rises by 50%. The winding temperature controller tracks real-time hot-spot temperature and will alarm or trip if safe limits are approached.

Q: How do I choose between copper and aluminum windings?

A: Copper offers lower electrical resistance and better short-circuit withstand, but costs more and weighs more. Aluminum is lighter and cheaper, and modern foil-winding techniques have closed much of the performance gap. For most commercial applications up to 2,500 kVA, aluminum is cost-effective. For heavy cyclic loading, high altitude, or extreme short-circuit duty, copper is the safer choice. We offer both and will recommend based on your load profile.
