The main components of a distribution transformer generally consist of the transformer body, electrical accessories, protection devices, and monitoring elements. These parts work together to ensure its safe and stable operation.

 

The transformer body is the core component, including the core, windings, and insulation system. The core typically uses cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheets to reduce losses. The windings mostly use copper or aluminum conductors to achieve voltage transformation. The insulation system ensures safe isolation between high and low voltage levels and improves the equipment's withstand voltage capacity.

 

Electrical accessories mainly include high-voltage bushings, low-voltage bushings, tap changers, terminals, and cable connectors. These accessories are used to connect to the power grid and load. Tap changers are used to regulate voltage to adapt to different operating conditions.

 

Protection and safety devices, such as thermostats, pressure relief valves, oil-immersed gas relays, fuses, and circuit breakers, are used to prevent overload, short circuits, and the escalation of internal faults, ensuring the safety of equipment and the power grid.

 

The monitoring and auxiliary configuration includes thermometers, oil level gauges, oil tanks, breathers (silica gel dryers), and intelligent monitoring modules, which are used to monitor the operating status in real time and improve maintenance efficiency and operational reliability.
